Join the women of La Casa for our annual Breakaway Weekend at Little America in Flagstaff, Arizona. You won’t want to miss this time of fellowship, growth, and time with God.
Every woman will eventually face it: the temptation to give in and give up. But something transformative happens when a woman decides to persevere in the face of difficulty and pain. A woman who refuses to quit influences her world in ways she could never have imagined.
Unfolding over six sessions, Nicki Koziarz walks women through the Book of Ruth, focusing on the Moabite woman’s five practical habits that kept her eyes on God.
- Accepted the assignment of refinement
- Followed through on her commitments despite her feelings
- Remained open to the movement of God
- Gave others what she needed
- Moved forward in faith
Testimonials from women who have been on the retreat:
Kristy McCreary– I wasn’t sure what to expect. I thought it would be meetings all day and listening to lectures. I was surprised to find a warm, inviting group of women to share stories with. The speaker was encouraging and allowed us time to really connect with both her and God. By the end of the weekend, I not only gained a great deal of new perspective on life, but also gained a new group of lasting friendships. This is not to be missed!
Priscilla Wahl– If you want to deepen your faith or get a new perspective on your relationship with God, this is the place. The speakers in the last few years have been phenomenal. Over the last few retreats, I have deepened friendships and made new ones. This has proved to be significant as these friends have supported me when I needed it. The facilities are wonderful, the food is great, and the activities are varied. I like that we always have some private devotional time as well as a service project. I like that different generations are involved. I want friends of all ages.
Kellie Richards– During Sunday morning worship, as I watched the snow fall and listened to the speaker, I remember thinking—What a lovely ending to our 2018 retreat! Three things I enjoyed at the retreat: my roommates— I roomed with three women I didn’t know. We had a fun time and it definitely added to the weekend. The table—I sat with women I had never met, and the three generations at our table made for great conversation and wonderful stories. The games—several of us stayed up late playing games, another opportunity to meet people and enjoy each other’s company.
Sue Frandson– I was always curious about the women’s retreat in Flagstaff but doubt and fear of the unknown prevented me from attending. Last year, I finally worked up the courage to ask a friend if she wanted to attend and we agreed to take the plunge. We were most pleasantly surprised! Our fears were unfounded and we had a wonderful time. Inspiring speaker, easy activities, women of ALL ages, and beautiful music. The women at our table formed lasting friendships and now we gather once a month for lunch, fellowship, and lots of laughs.
