Jennifer Song Sheldon was educated at Arizona State University and Carnegie-Mellon University. She performs regularly as a soprano soloist; most recently, she appeared as soprano soloist with the Grand Canyon University Orchestra and Scottsdale Philharmonic singing Haydn’s Creation, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, and Handel’s Messiah.  Additionally, she was the featured soprano soloist singing Bob Chilcott’s Requiem, John Rutter’s Requiem, and Gabriel Faure’s Requiem. A diverse musician, Jennifer has served as a guest conductor with the National Lutheran Choir and has enjoyed conducting the orchestra for musicals at Valley Youth Theatre. Jennifer plays the piano, has recorded and performed with jazz artists around the Valley, and has toured nationally and internationally as a singer and dancer. A two-time winner of the Metropolitan Opera Competition and a finalist in the McAllister Awards, she is also an artist-in-residence with OperAntics, formerly known as Operatunity. The mission of OperAntics is to educate audiences on the elements of opera in an entertaining and informative way.
