The goal of the Phoenix Rescue Mission is to end hunger and homelessness by transforming lives and mobilizing our community. They’ve expanded to include the Changing Lives Center and the Hope Coach; providing food, shelter, clothing, and addiction recovery programs to thousands of men, women, children, and families daily.
Phoenix Rescue Mission’s Hope Coach Program offers unique ways to get involved and touch the lives of the hurting and hungry.
Hope Coach Opportunities:
Volunteers can ride along and experience the Hope Coach’s moving ministry and participate in preparing the much needed meals as well as distributing them to those on the streets. To sign-up, please see the requirements.
1. Volunteers must be at least 18 and over to ride the Hope Coach, but you can be any age to make the lunches.
2. Groups are limited to 5 people per scheduled outing and must have a minimum of three individuals to ride.
3. Volunteers must supply items (click here for list of items) for the sack lunches. Options for providing items:
a) Buy items for lunches & prepare at your house or at the church. If making at home, deliver the lunches to the church kitchen and Sheri will take care of having them delivered to Phoenix Rescue Mission.
b) Buy items for lunches & prepare them (at your house or at the church) & deliver the lunches directly to the Rescue Mission & ride along in the van as they are distributed.
4. All volunteers must sign the necessary release forms when participating in the Hope Coach Ride-Along Experience.
