About the Walk For The Savior Walking and Exercise Ministry
Get ready to move! Join the Health and Wellness Ministry of La Casa in renewing your commitment to walking and exercising! A flat $35 registration fee gets you signed up. From there, you are invited to walk on your own for 7 weeks. Keep track of your miles because at the end of each week we will collectively add our miles together to see how far we went! This year your registration fee goes towards helping the Lutheran church in El Salvador!
Throughout the 7 weeks we will take an online tour through Central America. You will be able to see where our miles walked have taken us until we ultimately arrive in El Salvador! This summer, a La Casa mission team will personally deliver the money raised to a local congregation in San Miguel, El Salvador!
How It Works
Exercise on your own by walking, running, biking, doing yoga, weightlifting or whatever form of exercise works for you. Keep track of your miles (15 minutes of physical activity = 1 mile) and turn in your miles every Sunday via this website or at the Ministry Table at weekend worship. See the 7 week schedule below.
Recording Your Miles
Registered participants should record their miles every Sunday; logging their miles for the previous week. You can record your miles on the main page: www.lacasadecristo.com/walk
$35 will cover your participation cost. Payment is due at time of registration.
