I usually like to start up my blogs with a Bible verse ,but I thought that I would use a quote that I read earlier this week.
“Nothing should go back to normal, normal wasn’t working”
I was a person who always functioned on a schedule before the we were told so stay home. This new way of life is a challenge to me. After thinking about everything for the past few weeks, I came to the conclusion that it may have been time to change the way we do the things in our lives. As I read through scripture, I found many instances that God asked us to change and adapt to His will and His ways. This is a great time to look at the way we are doing things and see if we can change to not only improve our own life , but the lives of others. Before this all hit, we may have been looking for a way to change something in our life but we were afraid to take the step. This is a great time to take that step.
Let’s look at this situation a little deeper. This isn’t just about us, but more about everyone. Who are we staying home for? Who are we sacrificing for? Who are we missing? When you look at it like that and answer those questions, you now give the sacrifice more value. We are given a task to do the right thing. At some point we will go back to the way things were. Maybe we can start doing things in a new and better way!
The following verse sums up my thoughts:
“Just as I try to please everyone in everything I do, not seeking my own advantage, but that of many, that they may be saved.” 1 Corinthians 10:33
