“Say to them, This is what the LORD says: When people fall down, do they not get up? When someone turns away, do they not return?” Jeremiah 8:4
Falling down can mean a lot of things. We can physically fall down or we can fall from grace, wallow in misery, or allow negative thoughts to come our way. The lesson is in how you pick yourself up. Do you continue to focus on the fact that you have fallen?
Most of us realize that our own strength is not always enough to get through some of the situations this life brings. So where do we go?
Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
Dear Lord, have mercy on us as we struggle. Keep us in Your watch until we can walk again with strengthened resolve and renewed spirits. Amen
