GALATIANS: Liberty and Freedom in Christ
Galatians:
Liberty and Freedom in Christ

The new Gentile believers were being led to believe that they needed to submit to circumcision and other aspects of Old Testament ceremonial law. Once they were compliant with the law, then they could receive Christ.
Paul wrote this epistle to vehemently assert that “we are NOT justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. Join Pastor Wilke as we take a deep dive into the Epistle to the Galatians, often referred to as “Luther’s Book” and were foundational documents of the Protestant Reformation.
The message rings out just as boldly today: we are justified through faith in Jesus Christ- by nothing less or nothing more. We continue to grow in grace and faith not by legalistic works, but by the grace and power of Jesus Chris worked in us by the Holy Spirit through Word and Sacrament.
Dr Wilke is a retired Lutheran pastor and professor with over thirty years of experience teaching in Lutheran colleges and seminaries. He enjoys teaching classes on books of the Bible as well as topics that arise throughout the Bible. Also, the broad theme of religion in American life is a rich source of topics for future study. The goal in every class is to assist each student to answer the question, “How does this apply to my life today?”
