When I bought my one and only Powerball ticket in late January 2020, with a winning jackpot of $394 million, I didn’t specifically pray to God to help me win. But I did promise Him specifics on what I would do with the money: give 50% to La Casa, 30% to charities, and pocket the rest. I thought I had made the ultimate deal with God! The only thing I could think to do for my family was buy a house closer to the church, and maybe a little pipe organ to practice at home 😉
But I surely wouldn’t let it change my lifestyle, right? Right??
Although I might have daydreamed a bit about all those things, I knew that God had a plan for me and it almost certainly didn’t involve winning the immense Powerball jackpot. He had already blessed me with the perfect family, the perfect job, and all that I need—in other words, peace and contentment. His giving-abundance is overwhelming.
