God’s Glory

August 13, 2020

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19:1

I know I’m not alone in saying that Arizona has some of the most beautiful sunsets. When I see the bright, vivid colors painting the skies I’m reminded of just how great God is! For years I’ve wanted to use watercolors to paint a sunset from one of my memories because taking a photo doesn’t do it justice.

To me, the fantastic colors of a beautiful sunset represent different aspects of God’s glory. I see the reds and bright pinks as God’s unending love for all of us. The deep purples remind me that God is the one true king. The vibrant oranges and yellows represent God’s presence in the world, that He makes all things brighter. All the other colors in a sunset work together in harmony to bid the day farewell.

My wish for you is that the skies proclaim God’s glory in a unique way the next time you look at a sunset!
