July 19, 2020
This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
Here it is, July already. I don’t know about you but today’s reality of the continuation and increased numbers of Covid-19 has caused all my family and me to take more than a couple of deep breaths as we absorb the true meaning of the word pandemic. We’ve clung together as a family, together looking for encouragement and solutions to the probability of more changed plans in each of our lives. Will colleges open? Will jobs be found? Will health remain strong? Will we as a nation and world recover?
By the grace of God, our family trusts and believes that God is always present and has His hand in every situation. We remind each other of how, for generations, we have experienced the power of His miracles, the richness of his love, and the constancy of his faithfulness. We are never alone, individually or as a family.
So yes, it is already July and yes, there is more to face in the days ahead. But if you could see our faces you would see that we are confident in the knowledge that God is present in our lives each and every day, regardless of what happens. To sum it up, I quote my granddaughter’s Instagram message: God’s Got You!
