- Advocating on behalf of individual members
- Recommending improvements for physical and spiritual health and wellness

Meet the Director of Health and Support Groups
Hello, I am Jean Knowling, your Parish Nurse at La Casa de Cristo. I has been a member for 37 years. I started my career in the U.S. Army for 10 years in which I served in the capacity of a medical corpsman going on to receive a degree in Respiratory Therapy. I was a respiratory therapist for 11 years and 6 of those years I was on a helicopter medical transport team that transferred preemie babies back to the main hospital from surrounding remote areas. I then went on to obtain my B.S.N. and worked on a respiratory unit, then on to work for an oxygen vendor, and finally case management. I worked at Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital Scottsdale for 14 years before I retired and blessedly came on staff.
I am married to my awesome husband, Rick, for an amazing 42 years. We have one daughter, Erica, who grew up at La Casa de Cristo and currently lives in Maryland along with her husband and my 2 adorable grandsons. I am so privileged and blessed to be your Parish Nurse.
