We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19
Ten years ago, I battled and beat cancer. Every night when I would tuck in my four small children, we’d pray to God asking for “mom to be healed.” Some nights we read Bible stories and some nights we sang. Many times that song was “Jesus Loves Me.” The beauty of the melody and the simplicity of the words make it a classic. It gave me comfort as a child and brought tears to my eyes as an adult.
Certain songs bring back memories long forgotten and fill your heart with joy. “Jesus Loves Me” is that song for me. What song does that for you? Perhaps it’s a hymn or a lullaby. With today’s technology, you can probably pull up that song on your phone in seconds. Take a few minutes now if you can and listen to that song. While the words may be familiar, they may take on a different meaning in today’s world. Hopefully the comfort your song has brought you in the past will bring you joy today.
Jesus loves me! This I know, for the Bible tells me so; little ones to him belong; they are weak, but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.

I may be late in reading this devotion, but the message is still clear. Music brings comfort, and peace , lullaby or grownup hymn. Thank you for the reminder.
