The spring semester of Confirmation starts Tuesday, January 26 or Wednesday, January 27.

You pick Tuesday or Wednesday, whichever fits your schedule best. 5-6PM

The semester ends April 13/14. Classes will take off for Spring Break on March 9/10 and March 16/17.

The two weeks off will  accommodate the school districts’ different schedules.

La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church’s Junior High and High School Ministry offers Confirmation as an opportunity for teenagers to publicly “confirm” their faith in God and Jesus Christ. During baptism, parents make promises to raise their child in the Christian faith, giving them the opportunity to make their faith in Christ their own. La Casa de Cristo’s junior high and high school ministry provides an opportunity for our youth to experience God’s love in worship, discipleship, and community. Together, our Confirmation education will explore our great God and support each other in taking personal ownership of our Christian faith.

La Casa de Cristo’s Christian, Lutheran Confirmation program is a two-year experience for 7th and 8th grade kids on either Tuesday or Wednesday nights from 5:00-6:00pm during the school year. You are able to choose whichever night works best with your schedule. Sunday morning church and youth-group attendances, as well as community service, are also aspects of our program. At the end of their Confirmation experience, we will have a special way of celebrating our youth “confirming” their faith, in Jesus Christ, in the month of October when they begin their Freshmen year in High School.

In short, Confirmation at La Casa is awesome! Lifelong friendships and memories are made and teens experience the love of God and make personal commitments to follow Jesus for life!’
Classes will be held in person and live streamed. You choose which is best for your family. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns!

We have great web tool for you and your child to keep track of their progress.

Confirmation Prayer Sponsors

What is a Confirmation Prayer Sponsor?

A Confirmation Prayer Sponsor showers our Junior High Confirmation program and at least one of our lucky youth in prayer. Prayer Sponsors can remain anonymous, if they wish, as they pray for their Confirmand on a regular basis. Confirmation Prayer Sponsors also write them letters of encouragement (at least 2 per year), send birthday and Christmas cards, and can reveal themselves on their very special Day of Confirmation with hugs and love and a modest gift if they choose. Our Junior High Youth Ministry hosts about 100 Confirmation kids and would love at least 100 Prayer Sponsors!

Who can be a Prayer Sponsor?

If La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church is your home church, we invite you to be a prayer sponsor! Every parent, grandparent, people who like praying, and people who would like an opportunity to be motivated to pray more, please consider being a prayer sponsor.

Confirmation Weekend 2020

Confirmation Camp

We grow in our relationship to the Father, because of the Son, through the Holy Spirit.

Kids and friends who are not involved with Confirmation are still welcome to attend. We as junior high ministry leaders hope that the teenager and their family would want to make La Casa de Cristo their church home. It is our hope that you both will see the value in our Confirmation Program and continue on in our youth group.  We have ways for kids to catch-up on missed Confirmation course classes (if they decide to join mid-program).

Confirmation Camp has been a long-standing tradition of La Casa de Cristo’s Junior High and High School Ministry for 40+ years. It is not uncommon to hear people say the highlight of their Confirmation experience was Confirmation Camp. Many of those who have gone to camp would even say it was the time when their relationship with God made sense to them for the first time. As well, many say that they made a personal decision to follow Christ with their whole heart after, or during, their time there. Wherever a kid is on their faith journey, Confirmation Camp will play a special role.

Our Confirmation Camp is a requirement for our Confirmation Program. This is because Confirmation Camp offers a curriculum for better understanding the Trinity and one’s relationship with God, as well as developing important relationships with others who attend.

Our Confirmation Program is a two-year program for 7th and 8th grader. Kids become eligible for Confirmation Camp on the Summer between their 7th and 8th-grade year. If kids miss their first chance to go, they must plan on attending the camp in the following year to finish Confirmation. We do not offer a makeup class for Confirmation Camp as it is impossible to recreate.

Camp Schedule:
  • Morning sessions on the Trinity in the beautiful Sedona outdoors
  • Afternoon fun and games, swimming at the creek
  • Evening worship and messages, strengthening our relationship with God
  • 3 delicious camp meals and YOUR cookie snacks, offered each day

Camp Bond

Camp Bond Motto: “Your best friend was once a stranger to you.”

Beginning your Junior High journey can be tough process. Making some new friends at the very beginning can make a HUGE DIFFERENCE in your life! Camp Bond is part of our Confirmation process for 7th graders to bond with each other, along with some of their High School leaders, just before we kickoff a great year of Confirmation together. At Camp Bond, we enjoy getting to know each other with fun games, like capture the flag in the forest, as well as a great time at Woods Canyon Lake (kayaks, bicycle boats, fishing boats & paddle board rentals are included). Camp Bond is located at a member of our church’s cabin in Forest Lakes, Arizona, about 30 minutes east of Payson. Sleeping arrangements are set apart for guys and girls, boys sleep downstairs, and anyone who wants to can sleep outside in tents or hammocks (tents are available or you can bring your own). Friday’s dinner, Saturday’s breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided and we plan to have them home by 7pm to have dinner with their family. We look forward to some great bonding! To learn more about our Summer Trips, contact our youth leadership staff at

Summer Trip

For the past 40 years, except for 2020, La Casa de Cristo’s Junior High and High School Ministry sends its youth on a week-long mission trip to one of four locations: Visalia, Ca., Los Angeles, Ca., Ouray, Co., and San Diego, Ca. During these experiences, our youth engage with a variety of service and community-engagement opportunities. Each year, La Casa de Cristo serves locals in the area with a heart-filled passion for Christ, such as with Feed My Starving Children, found in the 2019 highlight video.
