The King's Manifesto: The Sermon on the Mount

The King’s Manifesto:
The Sermon on the Mount
Pastor Carol Peters, D.Min
Sundays, Oct 9 – Nov 27
Jesus launched His ministry, in Matthew 4, with the thrilling announcement, “The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” Then in Matthew 5-7, He described the precepts and values of His Kingdom. Was Jesus giving us an “ideal”? Or does He fully expect us to live by His instructions, e.g. “Do not resist an evil person” and “Give to him who asks of you”? Can we believe that we really are “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world” as Jesus said we are? Are we absolutely sure we have built on the foundation that will weather every storm life can throw at us? Join Pastor Carol Peters, who will be teaching this 8-session class, as we look at those questions and more. She promises, “No matter how often you have read Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, there are more gems to be mined from His priceless words!”
