Men’s Life Support Group

You’ve heard the phrase, “Life Happens…” and as men we are expected to suck it up and deal with it. But you don’t have to. Christ created us to be in community with one another.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ .” Galatians 6:2

Are you experiencing the loss of a loved one? Are you dealing with the anxiety and stress of a loved suffering from a long-term illness, such as a cancer, dementia, Alzheimer’s, or an emotional issue? Are you suffering from depression, anxiety, loneliness, loss of job or business? Do you have a trusted personal friend that you can talk with and who will listen to the pain of your stress or loss?

When STRESS and LOSS occur, many of your friends may love you, but sometimes they don’t know what to say or do. The Men’s LIFE Support Group has been meeting for 3 years to support men who face many difficult issues and situations.

It’s ok to need seek help. Talking with others in a community of faith is a safe place to find solace and put things in perspective. Attendees are NOT there to solve each other’s problems but to share in a common understanding and hopefully learn to help one another deal with their situation by listening and sharing.

Jim McFarland says this about his experience with this group, “In this Support Group I have made friends who stand beside me as I work my way thru grief and recovery. They don’t judge, they just listen.”

Those that attend look forward to each meeting, are truly interested in one another, and look forward to hearing about each man’s progress thru out the current week. We are in support one another in friendship and in prayer.
