In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling. Exodus 15:13
As we approach these last days of 2020, most of us look forward to 2021 with a sense of hope and renewal. We have grown weary dealing with a virus that does not seem to want to leave us and the lasting effects of a contentious election that continues to leave us divided as a nation. In light of this, I will share a message I read recently by Sarah Young in her devotional book, Jesus Calling.
“Leave outcomes up to Me. Follow Me wherever I lead without worrying about how it will all turn out. Think of your life as an adventure, with Me as your Guide and Companion. Live in the now, concentrating on staying in step with Me. When our path leads to a cliff, be willing to climb it with My help. When we come to a resting place, take time to be refreshed in My Presence. Enjoy the rhythm of life lived close to Me.
You already know the ultimate destination of your journey: your entrance into heaven. So, keep your focus on the path just before you, leaving outcomes up to Me.”
During these difficult times, my prayer for each of us is that we always remember that the God who loves us so dearly is always by our side. May we continually place our trust in Him.
