I enjoy Pastor Carol’s classes and have learned so much from her. In a Bible study close to 20 years ago, she encouraged us to listen to Christian music. She said we never know when the LORD will return, and we need to be ready. Keeping our minds fixed on Him, by listening to Christian music, would help us to be ready should He come in the middle of the night. I have listened primarily to Christian music ever since.
As I write this, I’m listening to one of my favorite artists, Lauren Daigle. Any time of night, if I wake up, and early in the morning when I wake, one of my favorite songs will come to mind. As this song plays in my mind I feel His presence and peace. I hope this means that I will be ready when He returns. In any case, I’m in a good place to start my devotion and prayer time. Now, during this chaotic time, I find that Christian music comforts me. The songs help me to be grounded in our amazing, ALL powerful and loving Savior.
Thank you, LORD, for beautiful music that helps me to focus on You as I await Your return. Amen.
