A well-known quote from C.S. Lewis says, “Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching.” As a child, when tempted to do something I shouldn’t have, I remember thinking, even if no one else will know, God will know. I didn’t always listen to that little voice, but I think it did keep me from making some really bad decisions in my life.
Now that everyone is wearing a mask in public, it gives us a feeling of some anonymity. We all kind of blend together and it’s easy to forget there is a person behind that mask. Now more than ever, we need to go out of our way to let people see the person behind the mask.
Lord, help us to go above and beyond to make a positive impact on those around us, showing our smile through our eyes, actions, and voices.
