“Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
Something that we hear often is the phrase, “We are in this together”. It has been said by many different people which includes celebrities, leaders, friends and family members. Do we know what this really means? Are we doing this together? When we look around we see many different people dealing with things in very different ways. Some are still going to work and some are staying home. Some are spending more time with family and some are home alone. Some are struggling with finances as others are struggling with childcare. Regardless of where we are or who we are, we are all dealing with our own burdens. It can be tough and it can weigh us down. The question is, what do we do? We need to reach out to one another. We need to help one another carry these burdens. Life becomes easier with help. I always fall back to one of my favorite quotes when I feel like I am distancing from people…
“I think the downside these days is thinking that I can do this all on my own. Yes you CAN do this on your own, but you’ll be a much happier human being to do it with other human beings. And I can guarantee you that.” Mick Fleetwood
