  • His mother, who saved his life
  • Miriam, his sister, who watched over him
  • Pharaoh’s Daughter, who adopted him
  • Zipporah, his wife, who saved him from God’s wrath
  • Aaron, his brother, who spoke for him.

Class:    JESUS: OUR RABBI
Dates:   Sundays, September 15–October 20
Time:    9:15-10:15 am
Theologians say that to understand Scripture, “context is king.” Jesus was born of Jewish parents, was raised a Jew, and followed the Law and customs that all Jews were commanded to follow. His audience was comprised of 1st-century Jews, and he taught the Law and Prophets, what we call the Old Testament, in a way they could understand.
This class, led by John Tassone, will look at the words, miracles, and acts of Jesus, and attempt to “colorize” their meaning by connecting them to the Jewish culture, language, and especially to the Old Testament Scripture that Jesus held dear to His heart.

S. Lewis wrote that for Christians, “there are better things ahead than any we leave behind.” This class, led by Pastor Carol Peters, will look at what we can know about what is ahead – beyond death – from the Bible, our only truly reliable source. We will leave behind the stereotypical pictures of heaven and the afterlife to see what Jesus Christ has saved us from and the amazing future God has planned for us!

Class:     WHO WERE THESE MEN?
Dates:    Sundays, October 27-November 24
Time:     10:30-11:30 am
They weren’t saints. They weren’t scholars. They weren’t wealthy. They weren’t even religious leaders. Just twelve ordinary men. Despite their shortcomings, Jesus Christ called them to join Him in bringing God’s Gospel of eternal salvation to mankind.
Led by Randy Berry, this Bible study, based on John MacArthur’s book, Twelve Ordinary Men, will focus on getting to know each of the twelve and how Jesus taught and transformed them into precious vessels fit for the Master’s use.
The objective will be to understand that teaching and implement that transformation in our own lives. These twelve men will become our role models, showing by their examples what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. If Jesus can accomplish His purposes through the lives of these ordinary men, imagine what he has in store for us!
