So be content with who you are, and don’t put on airs. God’s strong hand is on you; He’ll promote you at the right time. Live carefree before God; he is most careful with you. I Peter 5:6-7 (The Message)
God does not want us to worry about the who, when, what, how, where, or why in our lives. He does not want us to be unhappy where we are right now, in this moment. He wants us to totally trust Him, to know and believe He has a plan for our lives and that it’s so much better than anything we could ever dream of or imagine.
The same strong hand God used to part the waters of the Red Sea and lead the Israelites out of Egypt and into the Promised Land is the same hand that is upon each of us now.
We have to learn to trust God’s timing and turn our worries over to Him. Isaiah 43:4 tells us that we are precious in God’s eyes. God is loving us and protecting us so that we can rest and relax in that love.
Dear Lord: Please take our worries and help us to feel your love and peace and your strong hand on us.
