La Casa de Cristo’s Vacation Bible Xperience 2024 went ‘Above The Treetops’.  Children learned about GOD’s Word together while in our tree house! Throughout the week kids experienced games, crafts, music, snacks and more!

During this year’s Vacation Bible Xperience, we learned:

FAQs

The cost is $20 per student. 

All children are dropped off at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church (6300 East Bell Road) no earlier
than 8:55 am (supervision is not available before then.)

Vacation Bible Xperience ends at 12pm each day.
All children must be picked up by 12:05.
Any children that are not picked up will be taken to the VBX office.

9:00am: Drop-Off
9:15-10:00am: Opening In the Gathering Place
(Worship and an introduction to the Bible Story through a stage show)
10:00-10:40am: Music
10:40-11:15am: Storytime and Snack
11:20-11:55am: Crafts or Recreation (alternating each day)
12:00pm: Pick-up

  • A labeled water bottle for your child
  • Tennis shoes: This helps children participate in activities easily and safely.
  • Comfortable and modest clothing
  • Plastic containers of Peanut Butter and Jelly to donate to the Paradise Valley Food Bank for our service project.
    • An offering to help cover costs and materials for VBX
  • Toys, electronics and other personal distractions should be left at home. This includes but is not limited to: handheld game systems, iPODs, dolls, fidget spinners, action figures, and collectible items.

  • Cell phones must be turned OFF during class and activity time. Our time with your children is limited, and we appreciate your helping us to make sure it is productive.

  • If a phone or toy becomes a distraction, we will bring the item to the VBX office where a parent or guardian can retrieve the item at the end of the VBX day.

7th graders through adults are needed as volunteers to help make our week of VBX run smoothly. From being in front of the kids, to behind the scenes, there are many ways we can use you. Sign up here

    • Sat, Jul 13 | 9-11am | Room 101 – Volunteer Check-In

    • Sat. Jul 13 | 5pm – VBX Volunteer Installation during worship

    • Sun, Jul 14 | 8am, 9:15am and 10:30am – VBX Volunteer Installation during worship

    • Mon, Jul 15 | 8:30AM – First Day of VBX

    • Fri, Jul 19 | 5pm | Sanctuary – VBX Closing Program. Wear your T-shirt!
