Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Luke 5:31-32
Who is Jesus for? Who is welcome to church?
We need continuous reminders that church is for all. That one does not have to have it all together, have a perfect life, or have everything ‘right’ in their life.
Rather, church is for those who have struggles, questions, and brokenness.
All of this is true because of who Jesus is, the one we worship. Jesus does not love only those who are already righteous. Jesus loves those who are broken. Jesus then makes the broken righteous. He did not come for the healthy, but for the sick.
