You Are Enough

August 21, 2020

And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body. 1 Corinthians 12:16

Often I find myself thinking I can’t make a difference because I am not a nurse, or a teacher or a – fill in the blank. Maybe you also have struggled with this. But the thing is, we all have a unique skill set and calling in life. Through this pandemic, we have all played our part, whether stocking shelves at stores, working at home, or braving day-to-day in the cleaning crew at a hospital. Every role is important. And this is true in everyday life. You are important. And you are enough.

This week, I challenge you to pray:

Lord, there is so much going on in the world. Use me to do your will. Let the gifts you’ve given me shine your glory. Let your will be done. Amen.
