Psalms

Every day (with its new reasons) will I bless you (affectionately and gratefully praise You); yes, I will praise Your name forever and ever…On the glorious splendor of Your majesty and on Your wondrous works I will meditate.   Psalm 145:2

David, the shepherd boy who became king, loved to talk to God. Many of his psalms speak of his fears, woes, and worries. But David also looked for the good in his life. He actively kept his eyes open for new and amazing things the Lord was doing every day and he praised God for them. Then he would keep God’s wonders in mind all day long. Why not follow David’s example? After unloading your worries, actively seek something new to praise God for. Keep your eyes open to His wonders and works around you. Think about them throughout your day. You’ll find yourself so busy looking for the good, you won’t have time to worry.

Dear Lord: Today I am looking for new reasons to praise and adore You! On your works and wonders I will meditate.
