MISSION TRIP TO SOUTH AFRICA
Do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with your God - Micah 6:8
Mission Trip to South Africa
June 11-22, 2026
Join La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church on a 10 day trip to South Africa, putting your faith into action by spending time in a different culture and focusing on serving other’s needs. Our church has partnered with Orchard Africa for more than a decade, planting churches and serving children and their families in three different villages over the years.
See God at work in Africa and make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable families. Our team will partner with the local pastor to teach programs that meet the needs of people in the community and share the hope of Jesus.
Working together, we will continue to build on our great relationship with Orchard Africa. We will work, play and worship together alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ! Don’t miss this great opportunity to be the family of God together!
Donate
Join Pastor Garman after each service on April 13/14 in a special outreach opportunity for Orchard: Africa, a ministry serving adults and children in Africa since 1991. Look for the table where you can write your name on a “virtual backpack” by donating $150.00 or donate any amount here to help with the purchase of school supplies.
The Mission
This trip will continue our work in the northwest region of South Africa.
Our team will partner with the local pastor to worship/pray alongside the local church and children enrolled in the local school.
Projects: Sustainable garden, Impact Center, Feeding Program We will also provide backpacks and school uniforms to the children enrolled in the program
Where
Top Village, one of three villages/churches we have helped to establish over the many years of partnership.
Life in the North West province is simple and slow. The more rural areas can have difficulty feeding their families, finding quality education, and getting the care they need when they are sick. Seeing the conditions of a rural village may first be a little shocking to you, but walking through and seeing the abundance of smiles and laughter and families helps you see the strong sense of community in the slower-paced village lifestyle. Whether you teach a preschooler that they are special, share your heart with adults trying to gain new life skills, or teach a single mother how to grow her own food, it’ll be the people you meet that you’ll remember more than what you did.
