Come and hear fascinating life journeys as people share their stories live in an intimate setting. Sit back and relax in comfortable chairs as you hear tales from others about life, faith and God.

Our next Storytellers are Rebecca Merritt, Emerson Randall and David McGahan.

The refreshments will be created and served by the legendary barista, JW Gaberdiel and and his wife Chelsea – storytellers themselves!

Rebecca Merritt

Rebecca Merritt was born and raised in rural Minnesota. Attended Gustavus Adolphus College. Taught junior high school for 2 years before moving to Seattle and starting a career in the business world. Relocated from Seattle to Hartford, Connecticut, then to Chicago, then to Los Angeles and finally retired to Scottsdale. She has been a member of La Casa de Cristo for 20 years.

Emmy Randall

Emmy Randall is a junior at Desert Mountain High School, and has attended La Casa De Cristo for sixteen years. She plays sand volleyball and piano, and absolutely loves concerts. Whether it’s writing or painting, Emmy loves to create and communicate through different art. She is extremely excited to be a part of this storytelling event and can’t wait to hear what everyone has to share!

David McGahan

David McGahan is a resident of Rio Verde where he built his “forever home” and moved in eighteen months ago. He was born in Toledo, OH and has lived in Boca Raton/Ft Lauderdale, FL and Atlanta, GA. He is a CPA and is an Internal Audit Project Manager with U.S. Bank. David hails from a musical family and played piano, trumpet and french horn. He has sung in church choirs for 35 years and loves singing praises to God’s glory. David enjoys working out, hiking, pickle ball, tennis, biking and spending time with family and friends.
