“But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.” 1 Corinthians 15:20
When Jesus raised from the dead he was not just raising for himself. He was the first of many.His display of power was an invitation for you and I to also be raised from the dead.
In this way, Jesus’ resurrection is opening up a great harvest. Jesus’ life is only the first to be gathered in the harvest or resurrection. The rest of the harvest is the raising of all of God’s people.
Our resurrection only happens because Christ’s resurrection happens. Ours depends on his. Consider 2 Corinthians 4:14, “we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus.” Thanks be to God who raised Jesus from the dead. Thanks be to God for raising us from the dead.
